England beat Bangladesh by ten wickets at The Oval. Set a 306-run goal, England lost just two wickets and overhauled the target with 16 balls left. Despite lost of opener Roy, English side had two big partnerships that took them to the port of the record victory chasing after 300 plus target in Champion Trophy. Joe Basic remained unbeaten on 133 - his best ODI score - and this individual was ably assisted by skipper Eoin Morgan's unbeaten 75. It was Alex Hales who put the chase on course with his fluent 95 at top of the order. 

Before Tamim Iqbal's superb hundred or so helped take Bangladesh to 305 for six. The left-hander received excellent support from Mushfiqur Rahim (79) in a third-wicket relationship of 166. That was Bangladesh's highest stand in an one-day international outside the house of Asia.

England had won the toss and select to bowl first against Bangladesh before Soumya performed four eye-catching boundaries and a straight six before having been held by substitute fielder Jonny Bairstow when the score was 56 in the twelfth over.
